This is the story of how a lifetime of managing low energy became a decade of research, practice, and a mission to help other creators do the same.
Long before burnout became a topic of conversation, I was already navigating a life with limited energy. Since childhood, I had to learn, out of necessity, how to work with what my body could actually sustain, not against it.
There was never a question of adapting myself to fit a conventional career. That was simply not a possibility. So I began, slowly and deliberately, to build a life around my real capacity instead.
That decades-long process of self-knowledge became the foundation of everything I now teach.
I started with acceptance, the simple, uncomfortable decision to stop fighting my own biology and start listening to it. From there, I spent years studying the nervous system, energy rhythms, circadian biology, and the psychology of creative work. Not as theory. As practical tools for my own daily life.
I built my career in digital education gradually and intentionally, always designing around what I could sustain. By the time burnout became a widely discussed phenomenon, I had already developed a personal operating system for living and working differently.
You do not have to endure a life that doesn't fit you. You can build your work around your needs, and still succeed. I know this because I did it.
Even with all of that background, I went through burnout more than once while building my online work. Not because I didn't know better, but because the structural pressures of running a digital business have a way of overriding everything you know, quietly and gradually, until the collapse arrives.
Each time, I went back to the tools. I used data, HRV, sleep tracking, energy mapping, to understand what was actually happening in my body, not just what I assumed. I rebuilt my rhythm from the ground up. And each time, I came back with a more refined, more practical version of the system I now share.
Over a decade on Insight Timer, the world's leading mental health platform, I have created more than 30 programmes, worked with over 35,000 students across more than 100 countries, and maintained a 4.9 out of 5 average rating.
What I hear consistently is this: people don't lack motivation or ambition. They lack a structure that works with their actual human biology rather than against it. They have been told to push harder, rest more, wake up earlier, or simply be more disciplined. None of it addresses what is actually happening.
My programmes do. Because they were built from lived experience, not from theory.
You don't have to choose between your health and your ambition. You don't have to give up the work you love to recover. You just need a different structure, one built around the data of your own energy, not around someone else's expectations.
